High School Program Reduces Interpersonal Violence

"Implementation of Green Dot in Kentucky high schools significantly decreased not only sexual violence perpetration but also other forms of interpersonal violence perpetration and victimization," concludes an independent study led by Dr. Ann L. Coker in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The CDC-funded study evaluated Green Dot bystander intervention in 26 high schools over 5 years and confirms that Green Dot for High Schools reduces rates of sexual abuse, dating violence, stalking, and other interpersonal violence by statistically significant percentage.

Oregon Tradeswomen

Since 2014, we've been collaborating with Oregon Tradeswomen (OTI) to adapt and implement the Green Dot Violence Prevention Strategy that addresses bullying, harassment, hazing, and other forms of aggression in Portland's construction trades. After an extensive customization of the curriculum, Green Dot for the Trades is currently being piloted on the Multnomah County Courthouse project in Portland, Oregon, led by Hoffman Construction.

United States Air Force

We have partnered with the U.S. Air Force to develop innovative strategies that address both interpersonal and self-directed violence. In addition to implementing the Green Dot Prevention Strategy force-wide, we are working with Air Force subject matter experts to develop a primary prevention strategy that focuses on proactively setting norms of respect, intolerance of interpersonal violence, and individual responsibility.

Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women

We have been a Training and Technical Assistance provider for the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Campus Program since 2010. Through a cooperative agreement with OVW, we have partnered to develop a training program that supports campuses across the country in the creation and implementation of a primary prevention strategy that addresses sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.

Connecticut College

Connecticut College began implementing our Green Dot program in 2010. As one of our first college partners and one of the longest running programs, Conn has been working with our team to develop new tools, supplemental programs, and updated curriculum that considers the latest research, informing revisions and course corrections.
